Visco-Elastic Sealing Tape

NTD visco-elastic sealing tape is specially suited for corrosion protection of buried pipelines and irregular shapes such as bends, flanges, tees, valves, pumps etc. It consists of an inert chemical fiber material embedded in viscous and highly adhesive mastic. The outer side is covered with a special plastic material and the inner side (sticky side) is protected by a removable plastic film which is peeled away at the time of application. It is suitable for operating temperatures up to 95°C.

It is easy to apply and bonds well with all common substrates without the need of primer. It is non-toxic and adheres extremely well to steel and common pipe coatings like PE, PP, FBE, etc. It has unique cold flow and self-healing properties ensuring complete protection against water, air and dust. It is viscous and flows into all common irregularities on the steel surface, automatically covering small damages like dents and cuts. It is resistant to common chemicals and fungi. It provides outstanding corrosion protection and can be applied quickly and easily. It can be used on surfaces cleaned to grade St2.

Polymeric Tape for Pipeline Protection

Dasheng's inner and outer polymeric tapes cold applied tapes are made from a polyethylene backing coated with a layer of proprietary formulation consisting of butyl rubber. The installed product provides outstanding adhesion and elastic properties. It is highly adaptive to forces caused by changes in temperature and soil stress. It has excellent anti-aging and UV resistance properties. The high tensile strength and elongation of the backing material offers superior mechanical protection.

The inner tape is double faced adhesive coated. And both of them perform very well in protection and repair of pipelines, storage tanks bends etc.

The regular tape thickness is 0.7mm.

In accordance with different corrosive environments and specific requirements of pipeline construction projects, it is practically impossible to carry out repairs on pipelines constructed through directional drilling. Quality issues during the construction phase may lead to rapid punctures and leaks. Therefore, for traversing complex terrains, it is recommended to use a combination of 3PE anti-corrosion coating and modified epoxy fiberglass protective layer specifically designed for directional drilling.

Our company's epoxy fiberglass for pipeline crossing meets the requirements of the "Technical Specifications for External Coatings in Directional Drilling" as specified by China Petroleum Corporation. It significantly reduces the risk of damage to the 3PE anti-corrosion coating during the pipeline crossing process, ensuring compliance with the standard requirements for long-term safe operation of the pipeline.
