Dasheng's WSS 60 sleeves consist of a radiation cross-linked heat shrinkable backing, coated on the inside with a heat activated adhesive. WSS 60 Sleeves can be delivered as kits or in roll form. Each factory assembled kit will consist of one sleeve, suitable for a particular pipe size, a separate closure seal and pre-measured quantities of solvent free, two-part epoxy primer. In addition, the kits will also contain small tools like mixing stick, application pads and gloves. In the event of ordering sleeve rolls, closure seals and epoxy primer kits can be ordered separately.
Note: When ordering as rolls, please replace Pipe Size with Roll Length in meters. e.g. "30M"
Repair Patch, Melt Stick & Mastic Filler are available separately. Please enquire with us.

The Epoxy Primer is a two component, solvent free, proprietary formulation. The components are mixed prior to application in the field. The resultant coating forms the first layer of the 3-layer corrosion protection system. The primer should be applied on the pre-heated bare steel surface, as well as the line coating where the sleeve will be shrunk. The resultant film ensures superior corrosion protection. The primer can be used with TS(A) 60, WSS 60 and WSS 80 sleeves.

WSS80 Heat Shrinkable Sleeve - 12 Step Installation Guide
Clean joint area and sand/grit blast weld area to Sa2.5 per ISO 8501
Clean surface by wiping and/or air blasting
Pre-heat surface to 60-75°C, check at 4 points
Mix two-part epoxy primer and apply to pre-heated surface
Remove protective layer, centre sleeve over joint area
Add sealing tape along overlap line, wrap sleeve loosely
Heat closure seal adhesive till soft, centre and press firmly
Continue heating closure seal, press down with Teflon roller
Shrink sleeve from middle towards sides with moving flame
Remove trapped bubbles with Teflon roller for even surface
Post-heat gently, check all surfaces are soft to press
Final inspection and quality control verification
